 "Great GPS" 2009-08-15
By M. Rosa
This GPS comes w/ the car charger, and suction mounting bracket. I had to buy the case, AC charger and the computer cables so I could update the maps.

I have been wanting to buy a GPS, never had the time to stop to research which was the best for what I needed. After reading a few reviews of several GPSs on Amazon, I decided to buy this one, because of the price and it offered exactly what I needed, no extra stuff that I have available on other gadgets already. I have this GPS for about a month, and I love it, it provides me the sufficient info needed to get to where I need to go. If you are a practical person and need to get from point A to B, this GPS is perfect.

 "I've gone back to being anti-GPS." 2009-08-13
By Mana
I've always been anti-GPS, because I think people should have a sense of direction. I bought this GPS because I was going on a 16 day trip (Hawaii and San Francisco) and didn't want to be lost in the middle of a strange place.

On my trip to Hawaii's Big Island (...day 3 into my vacation) it stopped working, wouldn't turn on, or charge. Somehow I managed to make it back to the vacation house when I got back to O'ahu... (somehow, because my sense of direction was off from using this thing). I relied on my internal compass and Google Maps the rest of the trip, and sent this thing back when I arrived home.

I always hate reading Amazon reviews where someone is telling their story of device failure; however, mine stopped working less than a week after getting it when I was no where near home. (I bought it July 13th, left for vacation July 18th, it died July 21st, and I returned it August 3rd.)

Maybe I'm that 1% whose device just didn't work. Either way I've returned to being anti-GPS. Technology is wonderful, but so is your internal compass. I hope our society doesn't become so techie that we lose all common sense.

"Garmin Navi- great product, one issue I had with it." 2009-08-11
By Joanne Chiang (LA)
I really liked it! The voices were great, the directions were accurate, no changing last second like my last navi.

The color scheme helps differentiate the freeways from surface streets, and screen is bright for visual aid.

I enjoyed the little car that shows me where I am, and I can even change it to something different like a ball, walking shoes, etc.

It's simple touch screen and easy maneuverability aside from the inability to return to map on any screen.

The only problem I had with it was that it doesn't show total miles, or miles left to destination.

I like counting or knowing exactly how much longer I have to go, so it annoyed me somewhat.

But, long as I don't drive to Vegas or anything, I'm okay.

I know there's a destination time, but that just forces me to look at my car clock and figure it out myself, lol- lazy.

 "Worth It!!!" 2009-08-09
By Darren T. Laustsen
I decided to buy this product because of the review on cnet.com. The editors gave it 4 stars, and the users gave it 4 stars. That is best score they gave to any gps on the site. Of course that factors in value for the dollar ... etc. I trust reviews on cnet, they haven't adviced me wrong yet.

OK about the product...

1) You don't need to read the instructions! The GUI is designed very well. You don't need to be a techie to start using it right out of the box... which i think is how every product should be designed.

2) It does a great job of pinpointing your exact location as you drive. It is truely remarkable. Accurate to feet in distance.

3) Great verbal instructions. Clearly spoken and easy to follow.

4) The screen in beautiful. I was really amazed by the resolution and clarity of the screen.

5) It has great extra features, like finding restaurants by type (sorted by distance). All types of different kinds of businesses, parks, movie theaters, repair shops, parking... you name it! But the interface is so thoughtfully designed, you don't get overwhelmed with options.

This is my first GPS, but I have seen others, none as cool as this one. For [...] 150.00 bucks... totally worth it. I am going to save money with this thing. Just to never being lost again, no wasted gas money. It is so helpful. Sometimes, without GPS, you are going out the way and not even realizing it. Use this GPS, and you will always be taking the best route. That saves frustration and money.

"Just what I was looking for..." 2009-08-06
By H. Fetzer (Minot, ND)
This is a great little GPS. I am not very electronic saavy but when I went on a trip to Phoenix from small town America with a friend that had one of these, we had no problems getting around. It is very user friendly and simple. I like the option that I can change the voices too.
