This is a nice case, it does the job, and I love the little pocket with a cloth to wipe the screen. However, my only small complaint (and my fault for not considering this, and ordering the bigger one) is that you cannot carry the power cord in the case with the navi. This would have been helpful when you are switching cars, etc. Other than that it seems like a good quality case that will last.

A nifty little alternative to the Garmin default plain, open end leather case. The inside is nicely lined and has a mesh net accessory pocket on one side. The outer case is rugged. I ordered this case for my Garmin and other accessories. I was truly suprised by the quality. The case is 12 inches long by 8 inches wide (I measured). It is a little larger than expected, but I am glad because all of the stuff that goes with my GPS fits just fine. It's nice to have extra room. It is made of some kind of reinforced nylon material. The description says it is a "hard case". Most think of a metal or plastic reinforced case like you would put musical instruments in. This IS NOT that type of case. It does have some give to it. If you were to push hard enough on it you can dent it and it will pop back out again. I think it can take a good beating before anything inside gets damaged. I just wanted a durable cash to put my GPS and other stuff in while I travel. This case does the trick. It's small enough to fit inside a carry-on bag or a back pack. The three small pouches you see in the photo have velcro on the back so they stick inside the case without falling out. The pocket also has velco and by pushing on the mesh pocket it "seals" to the grey velvet-liek lining for a secure fit. My GPS, all of the accessories, a camera, and a few other do-dads fit inside just fine. I like it because it has that "grab and go" type feel to it without feeling clunky or annoying to carry around. It has a durable zipper to close the case and it also comes with a handy wrist strap you can attch outside (maybe hook on another bag or over your carry-on? I haven't put it on though because I just carry it and put it in my car (fits easily under the seat or in the glove box) or pack it away. I give this product five stars, plus I think it is very well priced. I have seen similar products priced twice as much and passed them up. Yup, I'm cheap, but this product isn't. Give it a try. If you don't use it for GPS you can at least use it for a small camera, cell phones, or travel kits.

I originally purchased a differant GPS charger & case combo from Accessory Genie. When it arrived I noticed that all of the items that came with my Gramin Nuvi 760 would not fit in the case. As a result I left a low review rating. Shortly thereafter I received a call from Alexander Rocha a customer Service Rep with Accessory Genie. He wanted to know what they could do to make me happy. He advised me that they have a larger GPS XL case and would be happy to email me a postage paid return label to send my original purchase back to them. Upon receiving my return they would send the new larger case prepaid. I received the new XL case and it is perfect. Everything fits in the case with room to spare, even two separate dash mounts. Although the case is not a true "Hard Shell Case" it is stiff enough to offer good protection. Accessory Genie went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Way to go Alexander. Thank you!

Don't be fooled. This case is NOT a hard shell as stated. At best it is reinforced nylon. It is easily crushed and at it's most "rigid" points I can easily compress the case with my thumb and index finger! The interior design is adequate for the purpose however the pictures show three interior cases which, indeed are there, each with a velcro attachment but there is only room for the two larger cases. The third smaller case is left to float freely! The case is a nice concept but that concept has not yet reached fruition! I was expecting a hard case and did not get that. If you are indeed looking for a hard case - keep looking...

My wife bought this case for our new Garmin Colorado. My initial thought was way too much money for just a case. My second thought was it's too bulky.



Then we took the new purchase hiking in the Adirondack Mountains. I'm very happy with the purchase. The case is wonderful, it attached easily/securely to my back pack, it allowed me to open, look and close the case with one hand (once I got use to the buckle). My GPS kept getting the signals even when the case was closed. And the case gives protection to the screen and from rain.



Lastly it's a good place to store it when it's not being used. I even pull the batteries from my GPS and store them in the case.

I purchased this case to carry my Oregon while geocaching. It works well to house the GPS, but I have two slight issues with it; first, the mechanism inside the case which attaches to the Oregon is too hard to unattach--I barely managed to take it out again and haven't used that feature since; second, the case doesn't quite close snuggly--it closes and the band snaps together, but the case still has just a bit of a gap between it's halves, not enough to really worry about, but it would be nice if the case closed more securely.

Other than those minor issues, the case works just as described and is an easy, effective way to carry your Oregon while geocaching.

This case fits my Garmin Oregon 400t perfectly. Inside the case there is a latch that attaches the GPS to the case so when you open the case the GPS doesnt fall out. If you hang the case from you backpack strap, or waist belt, you can open the case and operate the GPS easily. The case has a hard shell that protects the GPS from impact or drop. I am not sure, but the nylon seems to be the kind that repels water, but the case doesnt seal hermeticaly, therefore I would avoide moisture. Great case, Henry

I am very satisfied with this hard shell travel case that I am using for my Garmin Nuvi 660 and all the accessories I have. The case came with 5 cases that holds my Nuvi 660, external antenna, external battery pack, holders and disks, memory disks, batteries, GMT20 and books. It holds everything I have except my bean bag holder. That's OK.



I now can carry this all in my car and store it safely under my car seat or place in trunk or glove compartment with everthing I need available.



The case is not a samsonite hard case but is more than sturdy enough to take much abuse and still protect my unit and accessories. The only thing I wish the manufactuer would do is attach a strap or a handle so it can be hand carried when needed. A band on the back side so you can place on your belt would also be a good idea. I am very satisfied and recommend this for not only Garmin users, but also Tom Tom Gps users and others. A good buy for a great price.



PS Can be used to carry small cameras, cell phones etc if you want.

I purchased the Garmin hard case with the intentions of buying a case that not only traveled well but stored my Garmin Colorado safely when not in use. It has lived up to both of my expectations. With the lid design you never have to worry about losing the lid or it being in the way. The rugged outside protects your investment and can take some abuse. I use this case while kayaking and while hiking. I would highly recommend this simple case design.

Very good carrying case for the Colorado GPS. It gives good protection for the unit and is easy to use. My only complaint is size. It will hold only the unit and has no space for the carabiner that comes with the Colorado. It would be nice to have a slot or two to store regional microSD cards, too. Minor points so I still recommend the case.

I like this item, it provides good protection from bumping your gps into things. I would really like it to be air tight to keep sand out, it has a gap in the seem that will let in dirt and water. Not good for Iraq.

Other than acting as a hard case to prevent bumps to your GPS, this case offers no additional protection to a very expensive investment. I expected the case to seal around the edges, but it does not (the only thing keeping the case closed is that little clip in the picture... I mistakingly thought it also zipped around the edges). So there's nothing preventing dirt, water, etc, from going right into the sides of the case. I use my GPS for fieldwork, and this case definitely wouldn't cut it. I returned mine, and certainly would not recommend this case to anyone.
