Seems to consistently under estimate yardage by a few yards (10 or less) compared to some friends who have the Callaway GPS and Sky Caddie 2.5 GPS. Still better than my yardage estimates and has helped my game with yardage but it does make me wonder. Some times it backs up a hole but that could just be me erroneously hitting a button. Screen has intensity settings, which I like and it does give the important info relative to shotmaking and hazards.

After a somewhat exhaustive study (by me) of the Garmin Vista HCx (that I own) vs the various "golf" GPS receivers, I have come to the conclusion that the regular "Vista" type GPS receivers provide the same information as these specialized "golf" GPS receivers, at less than half the cost. And the general use GPS receivers, such as the Vista, are more versatile overall for hiking, climbing, etc, than the specialised golf recievers, yet they can also be easily used as "golf" receivers. What else is there to say?

This fantastic piece of space age equipment has rejuvenated the game of this 80 year old. I belong to a sizeable Seniors (over 60) golf group that plays once or twice each month on different courses in the area. I used it yesterday for the first time on a course I have not played in 5 years and captured 3rd (third) place. Usually I am down in the bottom 20%. Having an opportunity to know the distance to different hazards, and then the green, has given me an incredible advantage. I wish I had this marvelous piece of equipment 30 years ago. I could have had a bigger 401K.

I have seen the Golflogix in action by playing golf with a friend that had one. I was impressed enough to buy one myself. I have found that I was wrong a lot of times on distance playing a course I was familiar with. I also have asked fellow golfers to guess the distance they were playing from and they were wrong 75% of the time. They also were impressed. Great golf aid. I would recommend this to anyone.

Not what I really wanted out of a GPS device for golf. It will show you the distsance to the hole but thats about all I could really use it for. For only another $50 or so, I was able to buy an Onpar device from ebay. Much happier with that.
