The StreetPilot 7200's huge 7-inch touch-screen display means you'll always see where you're going, from anywhere in the vehicle. Designed for larger vehicles such as RVs, semi-trucks, and buses, it is a premium automotive unit that comes preloaded with City Navigator NT detailed maps of North America. With the purchase of an optional sensor (not included), the unit notifies the driver of accidents, road construction and weather-related traffic delays before they are encountered (requires subscription, traffic service only for select cities where coverage exists). Either of two optional purchase sensors can provide these features, the GTM 10 FM TMC traffic sensor or the GXM 30 Smart Antenna (separate purchase required). In addition to traffic data, the GXM 30 provides real-time satellite weather information. The 7200 model features all of Garmin's well-known GPS functions, including intuitive navigation and automatic route calculation; voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions; 2D or 3D map view; and automatic rerouting if a motorist strays off course. With its POI Loader software, users can load custom points-of-interest such as school zones or safety cameras. The StreetPilot 7200 also includes entertainment options, including an internal MP3 player, XM radio, and playback of audio books. The built-in MP3 player lets users browse music by artist, album, song, or genre. The XM Radio (with the optional GXM 30 Smart Antenna and XM Satellite Radio subscription - not included) features 150-plus channels of commercial-free entertainment. The StreetPilot 7200 is also compatible, a subscription-based audio book service. The face of the StreetPilot 7200 only has one button, an on/off switch. Using simplicity to manage complexity is a hallmark of the quality from Garmin, the premier maker of GPS products.

I've had the 7200 street pilot for over 3 yrs. and use it for my deliveries in Seattle Washington. It has never failed me, and I've never even read the manual. It may not show you all the street names on the screen but it sure does speak the street name about 700' before you have to turn, plus the name is in large print above the screen. At todays price it's a no brained!!

This is an excellent Garmin GPS! At last a screen size that is easy to see and read. It might not be for everyone, because of it's large size and weight. I use a suction cup mount[...], very heavy duty, and it holds the 7200 up with ease. I highly recommend buying the suction cup mount so you don't have to "stick the GPS to your dash". I love the mp3 player built in, it holds about 150 mp3s. Having already owned a Garmin Streetpilot C340 and a Nuvi 255W, the 7200 works in a similar way. The remote is great once you get used to it. Only thing that might bother some people is that being a large screen, it's not as sharp as it's smaller brother the Nuvi 255W, however it it still very clear and bright. Prices are great on this 7200 gps from Garmin as it it now a discontinued model.

I've owned two other Garmin units prior to buying this one. I got it a few days prior to leaving on a 6,500 mile 14 state vacation. It worked very good, the only thing I don't like about Garmin is their map provider still has not corrected a lot of errors across the country. If this was done, then the ubit would be perfect. I love the large screen, makes it easier to see.
I drove truck for five years using the Garmin products, never once used a map, though I carried one. As with any brand, you have to know their limitations and not allow the unit to lead you into a bad area.

I own a towing business and have used a Garmin GPS since day one. I can't tell you how many times it has saved me from getting lost. I sometimes joke around with people and say "if I would have had a gps back when I was married, I might still be married". I am one of those people who have no sense of direction and having a GPS is a must have item. My old 2610 finally died on me and I knew just what model I wanted to purchase. I had been reading about a model that had a 7 inch screen and I knew it would help me in my day to day needs. The #7200 is excellent to have in my line of work. I believe it was built with truckers and folks with motor homes as the target buyers and I highly urge you to consider this model. Especially if your a little older then you used to be and the ole peepers ain't what they used to be it really is nice to be able to glance down and see the large scale images it has. No complaints that I can think of and I can't believe how little I paid for this model compared to what the old one cost. Happy motoring.
