I'm an Ironman trainee and transitions from bike to run are very often. Installing the sensor was very easy. If you have a mistake installing the plastic retainers, you can use the "screwdriver" to open it and correct the installation. Removing the Garmin from the bike position and clip it to my armband is due in 2 seconds, so you just have to add 1 second to your transition time.

got what exactly what it said it is. it even help me see the watch screne better because i could adjust the strap on my wrist.
one very bad consequence of using it. fellow rider had his garmin fly off the mount because the spring broke. his garmin no longer works because of it. gotta expect it, though, sooner or later because the spring for the strap now hold onto the quick release must take a lot of abuse. every time i ride i clip it on and off twice. if i'm doing a brick then at least 4 times. it has to take it's toll. i don't think the springs are designed to take that much stress. and if one spring goes there's no stoping it from flying off. good luck even finding the garmin.
but i must admit it sure is convenient to train with.

Snap in attachment for the bike works great. Love not having to look at my wrist when using it on the bike. Zip ties make it easy to attach, flexible with attachment locations, and easy to get new zip ties around town if you need more. Also easy to snap out during tri transitions. The wristband is a little bulky for me and slides on my wrist more than the original rubber wristband does, but again, for a quick switch it does the trick. Garmin snaps into both pieces very securely.

The mount is not a secure way to hold the GPS onto a bike. I have had the GPS unit fly off the bike while riding. I did recover the GPS in the ditch, but do you really want to use a mount that can't hold the Garmin onto the bike?

Great product, better than expected. I only wish someone (Garmin or Amazon)would have given a better description of what it does and how it works - I would have bought it a lot sooner, so here it goes. First you remove the original wristband that came with the Garmin. Attach the included clip to the bike hadlebars with the plastic ties and then you can easily attach and detach your garmin 305 to the clip, it just snaps in. If you want to use it for running, you snap it in the included velcro wristband. I haven't used it for running yet but I think the velcro wristband seems mmore comfortable than than the original rubber wristband anyway. No regrets.
